Gerry Williams (1926-2014) "Inside Outside Form" Large Studio Pottery Vase, New Hampshire, c. 1978, slab and coil built, octagonal top set on eight-pointed section, round base, incised geometric decoration, green, blue, and metallic back glazes, unmarked, ht. 16 in. Note: Williams was a nationally and internationally recognized master craftsman, teacher, lecturer, and author. He was the founder of The Studio Potter, a nonprofit membership organization, and editor of The Studio Potter Magazine, a journal about the aesthetics, technology, and history of pottery and about the personal lives of ceramic artists.
