Copper engraving with hand-coloring on wove paper, plate size approximately 24 1/8 x 36 3/8 in. (60.5 x 93.3 cm),framed. Condition: Rippling, vertical center crease, handling creases, foxing, not examined out of frame. N.B. The engraving appears to be a plate from Traité sur la cavalerie by Louis Hector Drummond de Melfort, printed in Paris by Guillaume Desprez in 1776. Provenance: Ker Arvor, Newport, Rhode Island.
