Fullers are marked IH***ORT***VNO and BH***AGV***IR and terminate in crescent moons. 38.5" in overall length with 5.25" iron hilt with 6" S-shaped swept quillons, terminating in flattened round finials. Small, fluted shell guard on obverse. Flat sphere shaped pommel cap with deeply carved lobes and knob finial. Grip with twisted wire wrap. Condition: Good overall. Medium steel gray patina with scattered patches of darker age discoloration and oxidation. Scattered areas of light to moderate pitting present. Hilt with similar patina to blade. Grip wrap restored.
