17th century English Cromwellian-style lobster tail pot helmet. Two-piece skull fastened with an arch of seven rivets. Also features a visor, 3-panel lobster tail neck defense, spade-tipped nasal, and leather lined ear protectors. Most likely made and worn during the English Civil War (1642-1651). Condition: Good. Item shows a gray patina overall. Leather lining of ear protectors is cracked and left ear protector lining shows some wear to straps.
