Exceptional heavy sterling silver flatware set in a fitted oak case; signed with 1st standard Minerva (.925) hallmark and makers mark for Pierre Queille, Paris. Excellent overall condition. Fancy applied monograms "RS" correspond to the brass presentation plaque on inset in the lid which reads "R. Servier, Colonel du Genie" (Colonel of Engineering). Includes: 36 dinner forks (8 in.), 18 luncheon forks (7 in.), 18 table spoons (8.5 in.), 18 place spoons (7.25 in.), 18 vermeil tablespoons (6 in.), 18 hollowware dinner knives (10 in.), 36 hollowware luncheon knives (8 in.), 6 master salt spoons, 2 mustard spoons, plus 15 serving pieces including salad set, carving set, ice tongs, ladles and serving fork.
