Schätzpreis
Zuschlagspreis:
n. a.
Beschreibung:

1940s Theatre Posters - The London Casino Theatre - two original c1940s theatre posters from the Casino, London. Both variety shows, featuring a number of acts. The first poster featuring Sophie Tucker 'The Last Of The Red Hot Mommas' alongside Hal Monty, Cabot & Dresden, Berry Bros, George Kirby and others. The second being a variety show featuring Jimmy Jewel & Ben Warriss, Gil Lamb, Jack Train, Rolly Rolls, Billy Russell, Charly Wood and others. Both printed by Tribe Bros, London. Both folded. Generally G+ to VG. 51cm x 32cm each. Provenance: from a large private collection of 1940s theatre (and other) posters. All originally obtained and used by the Keith Prowse Ticket Agency in London during the period. All posters are used and display signs of wear. Most feature pin holes to the corners, and most are folded - although the folds tend not to have penetrated the print, making them largely unnoticeable in many cases. Condition varies, and our comments on such matters are offered a guidance only. Buyer's are reminded for the need to satisfy themselves as to condition of specific lots prior to bidding.
