This matching-numbers (registration/frame/engine) Comet comes with copy Works Order Form recording that it was despatched new in February 1950 to 'Walker/Mendal'. The Comet's recently deceased owner, an enthusiastic Vincent collector, acquired the machine in 2001 and succeeded in getting it reregistered with the original number in 2003. (The Vincent had previously been registered 'LSV 877' and before that 'NSL 263'). Presented totally dismantled, 'JM 9276' is offered for restoration and sold strictly as viewed. The machine comes with VOC Certificate of Authenticity, old-style logbook (issued 1967), purchase receipt (2001), assorted DVLA correspondence, three expired MoTs (most recent 2001), old-style Swansea V5 documents (x2) and current Swansea V5C.
