Jamais on n'a vu ligne aussi audacieuse, et le dessin profilé s'accompagne de performances hors du commun, grâce au six-cylindres double arbre qui a fait les grandes heures de Jaguar, tant en tourisme qu'en compétition. Comme nous l'apprend la plaque du garage Royal Elysées cette voiture a été livrée neuve en France. C'est en 1984 que son actuel propriétaire a acheté cette voiture, qui appartenait alors à un boucher de Perpignan. Elle été restaurée en 1989, un ouvrier travaillant à plein temps pendant un an pour mener à bien cette remise en état. Le berceau avant et les éléments de suspension importants ont été remplacés, et un dossier de factures permet de constater les travaux réalisés. Depuis cette restauration poussée, la voiture a très peu roulé et son compteur affiche 2 201 km. A tout seigneur tout honneur, elle a été utilisée à l'occasion du mariage du propriétaire. De couleur grise, avec une sellerie en cuir noir et des chromes bien conservés malgré quelques points de rouille, cette Type E présente un bel état général, et a conservé sa culasse d'origine. Elle a été soigneusement entreposée et sa restauration a bien résisté au temps. Elle est accompagnée de son manuel d'utilisation mais, n'ayant pas tourné depuis une dizaine d'années, une révision sera nécessaire avant qu'elle ne connaisse à nouveau une utilisation normale, et elle sera vendue sans contrôle technique. Elle représente une belle occasion d'acquérir un exemplaire ayant peu changé de mains, objet des soins attentifs de son propriétaire.
