Beschreibung:

Outwardly very similar to the final 356Bs, the ultimate expression of the long running and highly successful Porsche 356 - the 356C - arrived in 1963 sporting four-wheel disc brakes among other detail improvements. Engines available were the 75bhp 'C' and 95bhp 'SC', the latter replacing the Super 90. Production lasted into the 911 era, ceasing in April 1965. In 1962, while describing the Porsche 356 as, "a genuine GT car in miniature," Motor Sport magazine noted that the superior quality of its construction was allied to levels of performance, comfort and luxury more usually associated with far larger cars. "Above all," the test concluded, "it is one of the most individualistic cars - possessed of real 'character' - that it is possible to buy." Praise indeed. The vendor advises us that this right-hand drive Porsche 356C Coupe has seen very little use over the past 20 years, having been kept garaged, unused by its previous owner, for ten-or-so of those years. The vehicle came into the present owner's possession five years ago, and has covered circa 200 miles per year since then. In 1999 the car was stripped completely and treated to a full body re-spray; at the same time, the underside was blast-cleaned and coated with 3M plastic protector and the door and heater channels wax-injected. The exhaust system was renewed six months ago. Finished in Porsche Silver with original black upholstery, the car is described by the private vendor as in 'perfect' condition with 'good' interior and engine, and offered with road fund licence to April 2005, MoT to March 2005 and Swansea V5 registration document. It should be noted that the heating system requires re-connection.
