Beschreibung:

The 1966 Thunderbird convertible would be the last T-Bird drop-top until the retro-‘55 2-seater was introduced in 2003. It’s notable in that the power top mechanism was developed from Ford’s Skyliner retractable hardtop of 1957-59, a complicated motion that saw the trunk open the wrong way and everything fold completely out of sight. This car came to the Lewis collection in 2008 via Classic Memories and before that was owned for many years by Marge and William Grundhaus of Renton, Washington. It was sold on William Grundhaus’s death. The car was restored in 1984 by T-Bird Vintage in Bellingham, Washington in 1984 and toured and shown between 1985-93, collecting eight trophies, which are included. Finished in white, with a white top and tan interior, this convertible is fitted with the Q-code 345-horsepower, 428 cubic-inch V8, with a Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission. It has factory air conditioning, power steering, power disc brakes, power windows, power seats and an AM-8 track. The chrome and paint are good, the interior is in nice condition and some panel fits could be adjusted, as is often the case with this model. The odometer reads 81,970, which seems very likely to be correct. Without reserve
