Any Harley-Davidson is an iconic motor cycle and none more so than the 'Glide FLH, the only Harley to have made it into a film title – 'Electra-Glide in Blue' starring Robert Blake More commonly called a 'Shovelhead FLH', this version of the big touring Harley, a model introduced in 1955, continues to this day, instantly recognizable anywhere. Gaining an electric starter for 1965, the renamed Electra Glide, featured the larger aluminum version of the Sportster 'head for improved power and performance. The bike offered, of 1966 vintage, was treated to a full mechanical ad cosmetic restoration some years ago, by a marque specialist in Ontario, Canada. Used sparingly since, though not in 'show' condition, the motorcycle is a well presented example and reported to be a pleasure to ride.
