1969 Jaguar E-Type Series II 2+2 Coupé Registration no. SCV808G Chassis no. 1R 35462 *Manual gearbox *Very good interior *Significant rebuild Odometer Reading: 39444 MOT Expiry: 08/09/2020 Jaguar's design team faced a demanding challenge to update the original E-type and the Series 2 retained the original car's looks, suitably modified to meet the demands of American legislation. Buyers who wanted an E-type but found the Roadster or the Coupe too restricting could opt for the more voluminous 2+2, which retained much of the lines of the Coupe with more space. MPH is pleased to offer this manual gearbox 1969 2+2, which began life as a left-hand drive and has been converted to right hand drive. It was bought by the vendor in 2015, since when it has not been driven. Passing its MoT in October, it offers a pleasing prospect with very straight panels and bright chrome work, amply complemented by lustrous red paint and bright wire wheels. The vendor says a significant rebuild saw the fitting of a new floor pan and a full re-paint. Raising the bonnet reveals a very tidy, clean and unmolested engine bay that could be further improved with little effort. Delightfully spacious, the black interior is very well presented: A new interior was fitted, and the seats appear unworn, the centre console and dashboard top crack- and fade-free and the wooden steering wheel is in good order too. As when it was new, the 2+2 offers a more practical route into E-type ownership and this handsome example warrants serious consideration.
