Beschreibung:

With an estimated 345bhp available from its 5,340cc, four-cam motor, the Aston Martin V8 could reach 100mph in under 14 seconds and touch 160mph, a staggering performance even today and one which fully justified the claim that it was the fastest production car in the world. Introduced in 1973, the Series 3 cars employed a quartet of Weber carburettors instead of the previous Bosch fuel injection. Despite the switch, fuel economy improved and even in automatic-transmission form the Weber-equipped car proved almost as quick as the preceding manual version. This Aston Martin V8 has the desirable ZF five-speed manual transmission and is finished in blue metallic with beige leather interior. The car came into the vendor's possession 11 years ago, having already been restored by the previous owner in 1992. Benefiting from a recent new clutch, exhaust manifold, brake pads, brake servo and Kenlowe electric fan, it is described by the private vendor as in good condition throughout, with excellent transmission. The fitting of Koni shock absorbers at the rear is the only listed deviation from factory specification. ' CTC 259M' is offered with previous owner's restoration file containing invoices, all expired MoT certificates for the past 11 years, road fund licence to August 2004, MoT to June 2004 and Swansea V5
