Beschreibung:

Designed by Fabio Taglioni, Ducati’s first OHC single appeared in 1955. Small capacity lightweights were produced initially, with the first 250cc models not arriving until 1961. The Bologna company’s first 350 – the Sebring tourer – followed in 1966 and two years later it appeared as the SCR Street Scrambler with semi off-road styling aimed primarily at the North American market. The SCR was one of the first new models to have the so-called ‘wide case’ motor, which had a much wider rear engine mounting. Changes to these were not merely confined to the rear engine mount as Taglioni and his team also took the opportunity to incorporate a stronger con-rod and big-end bearing, and increase the capacity of the lubrication system. There were also improvements to the gearbox, while the Marzocchi suspension and drum brakes remained unchanged. With a single-beam cradle frame, the 350 Street Scrambler was powered by a bevel-driven SOHC 340cc single mated to a 5-speed gearbox. It produced 27hp at 8,500rpm, had Bosch electronic ignition and could accelerate to over 80mph. Production ended in 1976. This Ducati 350 Street Scrambler comes to sale in very tidy unrestored, original condition with a newly upholstered seat and vinyl side-panel bag. Rapidly becoming increasingly collectible – due in part to Ducati reviving the Scrambler model name in 2015 – it is to be sold with its Italian documentation.
