Beschreibung:

Daimler launched the second series 4.2 litre Sovereign in the Autumn of 1969, a luxury, high speed touring car derived from the much acclaimed Jaguar XJ6 and powered by that cars six-cylinder, silky smooth, overhead camshaft engine. Although Daimler had built their reputation around pure luxury motor cars this new Daimler was no sluggard and was indeed the fastest Daimler to have been produced at the time, offering a top speed of 120mph and 0-60mph acceleration in 10 seconds. Although the standard production models were superbly appointed the Vanden Plas models were still more opulent with interior trim in exclusive colours, the fascia and door furnishings veneered in Asian Burr Walnut, the coachwork carried a distinctive gold coachline and the deep pile carpets had additional underfelt. The paintwork was also finished in exclusive metallic colour schemes and the roof covered in black vinyl. This car is presented in metallic gold livery with tan leather interior and is to automatic specification. It comes with a history file, the original bill of sale, owner’s manual and has had just three owners from new. Condition generally is described as good although the carpets and headlining will benefit from attention. It comes with a Swansea V5 registration document and current MoT certificate.
