1983 Cadillac Sedan de Ville Chassis No. 1G6AD6981D9169355 By the early 1980s, Cadillac was reeling from 2-4-6-8 ignition systems and diesel disasters, so they pinned their hopes on the 249 cubic-inch fuel-injected V8, the 4100HT. With only 135 horsepower, it wasn’t going to win any stoplight races but it returned reasonable mileage in comparative comfort. This Sedan de Ville comes directly from the Lewis collection, it was Wally Lewis’s family car. It’s powered by the 135-horsepower, 249 cubic-inch V8 with throttle-body fuel injection and with a 4-speed automatic transmission. It has all the expected Cadillac touches, leather interior, climate control, power steering, power disc brakes, windows, seats and AM/FM stereo. The car has been garaged its whole life, the gray vinyl top and silver paint are in good condition, as is the chrome. The silver paint is fine, the gray leather interior shows very little wear and everything is reported to work.
