Launched in May 1994 to celebrate 35 years of Mini production, the Rover Mini '35' Limited Edition had been conceived as a back-to-basics 'fun' car, its only additional features being a special interior boasting pink 'Jamboree' seat facings, three-spoke steering wheel and the Mayfair's superior stereo system, plus a Cooper-style chrome grille and door handles. Complemented by special 'Mini 35' decals to the rear quarter panels and boot, plus similar bonnet badge, the three colour schemes offered were White Diamond, pearlescent Nevada Red or Arizona Blue. The 1,275cc engine retained carburettor induction but nevertheless was fitted with a catalytic converter. Automatic transmission, Minilite-style alloy wheels and an electric sunroof were Mini '35' options. To the standard 35's improved specification, this example adds special features by Harold Radford Ltd, originators of 'luxury Mini' concept. Built at a cost exceeding £20,000, the car boasts electric windows and sunroof, leather upholstery, Wilton carpeting, walnut dashboard and door cappings, central locking and Clifford alarm. The vehicle enjoyed just one owner prior to the present and has covered 46,000 miles from new. Finished in green with matching interior, it has manual transmission and is presented in first class condition throughout. Offered with MoT to April 2004 and Swansea V5.
