First edition of the sumptuous Pop Art book, softcover issue, published simultaneously with the hardbound edition (which has a different cover image) and containing these gimmicks: 1) Large coloured pop-up castle under siege. 2) Red fold-out concertina is present, but as usual no longer squeaks when pages are opened. 3) Pop-up biplane. 4) Chelsea girls paper disc on a wire spring. 5) Hairy chested guy on dodecahedron is present and attached to black string, but elastic band damaged and three page seals cut. 6) Velvet Underground 45 r.p.m. single cardboard picture flexi-disc with portrait of Lou Reed on playing surface is present but detached. 7) Colour psychedelic fold-out of Andy's nose in two overlays on double folded leaf. 8) Coloured pop-up of Hunt's Tomato Paste can. 9) One sheet of semiperforated moisture-sensitive Andy Warhol drop-in-water tabs (lacks three of the eight). 10) Balloon has fused into a hard mass as usual and stuck two surrounding pages together for about 10 cm, some staining from balloon to following blank sheets.
