An early state preceding the 1624 edition of Smith's "Generall Historie", identifiable by the year 1606 in the lower cartouche and by the year 1607 below the view of "Powhatan". Uncoloured, a strong impression with plate tone and good margins, 6-cm tear to middle of centerfold, another tear to upper margin touching printed area, otherwise fine.
