The very rare first edition (only one copy in the USA, none in Italy, apparently the only copy on the market since c. 1920) of these sermons on the patience of Job attributed to Saint John Chrysostom (d. 407), an early Cologne incunable in the first type (second state) of that city's first printer, some waterstaining to margins, two small wormholes throughout, otherwise a fine, complete copy, rubricated and with alternating red and blue lombard initials (a blue "P" mistakenly inserted at beginning deleted and replaced with a red "C"), a few old marginalia, bound in early-20th century vellum. - From J. R. Ritman's Bibliotheca Philosophica Hermetica at Amsterdam, with its bookplate.
