64 in all, including early portraits of Sophia Baggesen (2, one inscribed on back), Elise Braatz, Wally Braatz, Elsa Moulier and Kathie Althoff, and Louise Olgoust, signed, [c.1900-1910]; the remainder including large portraits and publicity shots of Martyn & Maye, the De Guise Seymour Orchestera, inscribed, 1938, Truzzi, Lorette, Topper Martyn as a young man (2), Gerti & Joe Ortnes, Frank Marx and Iris, Van de Velde Co. (2), 1948, Eva Vidos, Ivanoff, Felovis, 1950, Willy Woltard, and “Oh Boy” Charlie, the last eight all inscribed, the last to Billy and June [McComb], others to Larry Turnbull; extensive collection of cuttings from periodicals and newspapers, including pictorial advertisements for the Original Four Philipps, Will Picardy, Bela Kremo, Les C. Giachi, Van de Velde & Co., Trixie, Jo Ortnes, and many others, the majority mounted on folio sheets, in box file, the remainder in large folio album; together with 8 programmes featuring Topper Martyn, the Williams Troupe, the Variety Theatre of China, Francis Brunn, and others; and the carbon copy of two typed articles by P.H. Paulnetti on “the Arabs and their Ground and Lofty Tumbling”, 8pp. folio, with manuscript corrections and revisions.
