Etching PRINTED IN SANGUINE, early 18th cent. impression, 10,7x7,9 cm., "Rembrandt van Ryn fec" in the plate, tipped onto mount in corners. - Sm. dam. in lower right corner; a few tiny specks on the chest of the kneeling brother; margins trimmed to/ just inside the platemark; vague folds above the head of the old woman; sl. weak impression. = Etchings by Rembrandt printed in sanguine are very rare (no other copy of this print in sanguine traced).
