A 38-bore Liège d.b. flintlock pistol, and a 100-bore Mariette patent six-shot percussion pepperbox revolver circa 1800 and mid-19th century The first with twist octagonal barrels, grooved tang, rounded locks (cocks associated, parts missing), moulded walnut full stock carved with a floral spray behind the barrel tang and inlaid with silver wire on the butt (fore-end cracked, horn fore-end tip missing), iron mounts, and later ramrod; the second with 7¼in. (18.4cm.) barrels numbered from 1 to 6, scroll engraved action and grip-strap, the latter engraved 'Fini Par Maquet à Liège', and rosewood grips 10 7/8in. (27.7cm.) and 12¼in. (31.1cm.) (2)
