With blued sighted barrel retained by two barrel bands, the forward one with bayonet-lug on the right, calibrated folding adjustable back-sight, action stamped with crowned 'V.R.' above 'Enfield' and the date on one side, figured butt and fore-stock (some old bruising), the former stamped with circular Enfield arsenal mark on one side above 'III.1', regulation steel mounts, sling loops, original steel ramrod, and much original finish, Ordnance proof marks 84 cm. barrel
