A BERLIN PORCELAIN PIERCED OVAL BASKET CIRCA 1805, BLUE SCEPTRE AND DASH MARK, PAINTER'S MARK OF AN IRON-RED ARROW Of flared form, the salmon-pink-ground centre gilt with a radiating foliate medallion issuing palmettes, the border with a broad gilt band tooled with laurel within a pierced outer part with continuous bronzed swags of laurel highlighted in tones of sepia and gilding against vertical green and gilt-edged slats, the gilt swags on the exterior moulded in relief and tooled, above an acanthus-moulded band at the lower part, the footrim richly-gilt (slight scratching to gilt leaves to well, minute wear to gilding) 14 5/8 in. (37 cm.) wide
