A Cane Sword and a Tanto Edo period (19th century) The first hon-zukuri, iori-mune, torii-zori with an itame forging pattern and a suguha gunome tempered edge and midare komi tip, bo-hi carved to both sides, o-suriage with two holes, one plugged, and the remains of a third hole, lost when the blade was altered, gilt-copper one-piece habaki , 19¾in. (50.2cm.) long In a lacquered-wood koshirae modelled to resemble a cherry wood walking stick, 37½in. (95.3cm.) long The tanto shobu-zukuri, iori-mune forged in itame pattern with a suguha gunome tempered edge with nie, kinsuji and yo , tang ubu with kiri file marks and one hole, silvered-copper habaki , 7 7/8in. (20cm.) long Koshirae comprising a silver mokume -lacquer saya with tsuka mounted with copper fuchi-gashira with Daruma and his accoutrements in iroe taka-zogan , iron tanto tsuba with gold vine inlays The first with certificate no. 16151 issued by the Nihon Token Hozon Kai (Society for the Preservation of Japanese Swords), dated 2006.9.3 (2)
