COLONEL FOOTE, A VETERAN OF THE WAR IN AMERICA, DECIDED TO CALL FOR REINFORCEMENTS AND ARTILLERY TO BE BROUGHT UP FROM WEXFORD BEFORE RISKING AN ATTACK.
