A Chinese carved and lacquered armchair Print Late 19th/early 20th century, the curved back rail terminating in dragon's head hand rests, raised on shaped carved, lacquered and gilt cloud supports, atop a stepped squared seat with pierced foliate and dragon-form panels, on a squared base, 39'' H x 21'' W x 21'' D, Provenance: Private Collection, Irvine, CA. Condition: Overall good condition, with scattered scuffs, nicks, wear, separation at joints and shrinkage cracks commensurate with age. Glued repair to verso carved panel of base. Scattered small nicks and losses to carved elements. Wear and losses to lacquer, with scattered areas of refinishing. Base likely reconstructed with modern reinforcements.
