A Chinese hardwood bureau, late 18th/early 19th century With associated Georgian glazed bookcase above, with a moulded dentil cornice and trefoil arcaded pendant frieze, fitted with adjustable shelves and enclosed by a pair of glazed astragal doors, the lower part with a sloping fall enclosing a fitted interior with drawers and pigeon holes about an enclosed cupboard with a drawer, the door of a later date, each of the drawers inscribed with Chinese numerals in ink, containing four long drawers below and applied with brass carrying handles to the sides, on bracket feet 38in. (96.5cm.) wide, 83½in. (212cm.) high, 23in. (58.5cm.) deep
