A cased gilt metal and enamel Orthodox crucifix with chain, presented by Patriarch Athenagoras to Freddy Temple 1959, A collection of Papal Medals, comprising a silver medal of Pope John XXIII, 50mm diam., from 1958; another smaller medallion, 33mm diam., dated 1960; and a gilt-metal one of John Paul II, 31mm diam. The first two contained in boxes of issue. Presented to Freddy when acting as Chaplain to Archbishop Fisher. Together with books; The Man of Ten talents, Richard Chevenix-Trench, & Freddy Temple - A portrait by Christopher Dodd. Other material includes a personal account of the wedding of Princess Margaret by Freddy Temple, and a pair of watercolours by Col. FC Temple. Also, The C.B.E. and group of eight to Lieutenant Colonel F.C. Temple, Indian Volunteer Force, The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, C.B.E., 2nd type, Civil Division; Defence Medal; War Medal; Coronation Medal 1902, silver issue; Jubilee 1935; Coronation 1937; Indian Volunteer Decoration, G.V.R., engraved on reverse (Lt.Col.F.C.Temple, Ghota Nag.
