Barrel marked in one line "ADDRESS COL SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA". Left side of frame marked "COLTS PATENT". Rebated/fluted cylinder marked "PAT SEPT. 10th 1850" inside flute. Blue with case hardened frame, hammer and loading lever. Silver plated brass trigger guard and backstrap. One piece varnished walnut grips. Housed in a walnut, partition fitted case with burgundy color interior. Complete with unique period powder flask made of leather wrapped brass. Correct bullet mold marked "COLTS PATENT". Correct combination nipple wrench/screwdriver. Eley Bros. percussion cap tin. Packet of 6 combustible cartridges. CONDITION: Revolver is excellent overall. Approximately 90% bright blue on barrel mixed with brown patina, multiple small dents on right side around wedge. 70%+ original bright blue on cylinder with most loss to one side. Frame, lever, and hammer shows most of the original bright case colors. Trigger guard and backstrap shows most the original silver plating, starting to flake on backstrap. One piece grips are excellent showing most of the original varnish with a few small dents. Case is very good overall with a gouge in the lid front. Lock plate missing on front. Interior is faded and showing fairly heavy wear. Bullet mold and powder flask are very good.
