Frontier Six Shooter double action revolver manufactured by Colt in 1897. Left side of barrel is stamped "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER" with Colt's single line address across the top. Encircled Rampant Colt logo is present on the left side of the frame. Features include Colt's high polish blue finish, a 7 - 1/2" barrel, blade front sight, frame notched rear sight, as well as 2-piece ivory grips. Frame bears the full serial number, cylinder is not numbered. Assembly number on frame and loading gate are matching. CONDITION: Metal components retain large amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning all around that show through to brown and gray patinas and showing light oxidation overall. Bore is bright, exhibiting light oxidation and good rifling throughout. 2-piece ivory grips show some scattered handling marks, but are otherwise fine.
