The porcelain dial painted with an airborne cherub encircled by a ring of numeral cartouches and set in a gilded case surmounted by musical instruments entwined in boughs of foliage. The scrolled sides festooned in pendant garlands of fruit. The facade inset with 'Sèvres' style plaques depicting romantic scenes in turquoise blue borders. Raised on beaded toupee feet with a separate serpentine moulded giltwood base. 19 ins (48 cms) in height.
