A FINE MOULDED CELADON-GLAZED MOONFLASK EFFACED YONGZHENG MARK AND OF THE PERIOD The moonflask is moulded on each of the two compressed sides with a stylised circular shou character flanked by two avian motifs with their wings outstretched revealing feathers and plumage against a peripheral design of dense bunches of lingzhi -spray, all below a slim cylindrical neck finely decorated with plantain leaves above a band of C-scrolls at the shoulder, the two handles formed by down-turned lingzhi sprigs, covered in a pale green glaze pooling and thinning in areas and stopping at the foot, the mark and glaze to the base has been removed 11 3/8 in. (29 cm.) high
