A FINELY CARVED PALE GREENISH-WHITE JADE FIGURE OF A RECUMBENT DUCK QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795) Shown in a recumbent position with legs tucked under the body and head turned backwards as it grasps stems of lotus flowers and leaves in its faceted beak which is carved at the tip with angular scrolls, the graceful wings detailed with a stylized dragon roundel at the front and layered feathers incised with parallel rows of incised key fret, with further key fret in scrolled bands on either side of the tail, the pale greenish-white stone with some opaque white mottling and pale russet color 4 9/16 in. (11.6 cm.) long, wood stand
