A FINELY-DETAILED AND WELL-PRESENTED 1:96 SCALE BUILDER'S-STYLE MODEL OF THE CUNARD LINER R.M.S. QUEEN MARY (1936) modelled by D. Whitty with masts, radio aerial, rigging, anchors with chains and winches, deckrails, bitts, bollards, companionways, covered hatches, derricks with winches, ventilators, superstructure with bridge with binnacle and searchlights over, wing bridges, stayed funnels with safety valve extension pipes, hooters and ladders, twenty-four covered lifeboats in davits, engine room and saloon lights, air conditioning ducts and many other details. The hull with scored wooden deck, portholes, boarding companionways, bilge keels, four four-blade brass propellers and rudder is finished in red, black, white and varnish and mounted on four turned brass columns within wood-bound glazed display case with specifiaction plate. Overall measurements -- 31¼ x 97½in. (79.5 x 247.5cm.) See illustration
