With narrow sharply tapering blade of triangular section retaining traces of etched and gilt decoration on both sides of the forte, polished steel hilt comprising slightly concave shell with shaped and cusped border, oval inner plate chiselled with a garland of flowers against a gilt punched ground, the quillon-block, faceted rear quillon, knuckle-guard and ovoidal pommel each decorated en suite on both sides, the last with button finial, and associated swelling steel grip set on each side with a beadwork star, in original wooden scabbard (repaired) covered in black leather with steel locket, chape and suspension mount, and with two split-rings for suspension 82.1 cm. blade
