Beschreibung:

Comprising close-helmet with rounded one-piece skull rising to a low roped comb, sharply-pointed visor with horizontal vision slits above a prominent roped lower edge pierced with two rows of circular breaths beneath on each side, pivoted on dome-headed rivets on brass rosette-shaped washes at the same points as the upper- and lower-bevors, the former prow-shaped, cut on the right at the top to accept a sprung button-catch, pierced with an arrangement of keyhole breaths on the right and circular breaths on the left, cut with notches to accept a visor-prop (missing) along the bottom edge and struck with the Nuremberg mark, the latter shaped to the chin and with a row of dome-headed lining rivets, some brass-capped, extending round to the back of the skull, and with sprung button-catches on the right engaging with holes on the upper-bevor and at the rear (some pitting overall, plume-holder and neck-plates missing), gorget of three neck-plates front and rear, hinged together on the left and secured by pin and keyhole-catches, the top plates boldly turned and roped, the rear plate with pillar turning catches on each shoulder engaging with holes on each pauldron, breast-plate with medial ridge drawn-out to a blunt point above the waist, and with prominent turned and roped neck along a shallow inverted ogee-shaped step struck with a star mark, moveable armhole gussets en suite, skirt of three overlapping lames, the lower one with arched opening with recessed turned and roped border, and hinged thigh-length tassets each of five lames en suite, the back-plate with single-plate culet, full articulated vambraces comprising upper arms each of six overlapping plates with a roped bracelet turning joint at their base, heart-shaped bracelet couters, and tubular lower cannons hinged together and secured by a pin-catch, fingered gauntlets each with flared cuff, and full leg harness comprising two-plate cuisses, poleyns each with ovoidal side-wing with v-shaped flute, articulated plates above and below, the bottom plates pierced for attaching the greaves, the latter each hinged together and with round-toed sabatons both of nine articulated plates, the main edges turned and roped, and with dome-headed rivets throughout; together with a broadsword in German late 16th century style: on a padded wooden stand mounted on a circular plinth painted black
