A George III mahogany longcase clock, last quarter 18th century The hood with Greek key front cornice to the flat top hood, glazed side panels and brass-capped pilasters, the arched top trunk door flanked by chamfered angles, with quatreform mouldings (part lacking) to the plinth on raised skirting, the 11in. wide one-piece silvered arched dial engraved with flower spandrels and with displayed eagle to the arch, the centre with engraved subsidiary seconds and date aperture, signed Robert Dovers Bath , cut steel hands, the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement -- 87in.
