A GROUP OF MAINLY GRAECO-ROMAN BRONZE VESSELS ETRUSCAN, HELLENISTIC TO ROMAN PERIODS, CIRCA 5TH CENTURY B.C./A.D. Comprising a shallow bronze patera, the fixed ring handle with stylized palmette leaf attachment plate, 10¼ in. (26 cm.) diam.; a patera with concentric rings on the base, the fluted handle with ram's head terminal, 9 in. (22.8 cm.) diam.; a bronze amphora with narrow neck, the twin ribbed handles with lower maenad mask terminals, concentric rings on the base, 7 5/8 in. (19.3 cm.) high; a bronze jug with detached handle, the swollen body with flaring rim and fragmentary base, 6¾ in. (17.1 cm.) high; a fragmentary bronze kyathos with concave body and collared rim, tall arching handle, 5½ in. (14 cm.) high; a bronze funnel-strainer with tapered spout below, a bird protome on the rim, the fragmentary arching handle with animal head terminal and geometric decoration, 6½ in. (16.5 cm.) high; two bronze ladles, the handles with either a swan or mule head terminal, one with later silver bowl inscribed with a snake in the form of "Nodo Savioia", a crown above and "Rome 1819" below, 21¼ in. (54 cm.) long max.; two bronze mirror discs, each with narrow rim and decorated on reverse with concentric rings, 4½ in. (11.5 cm.) diam. max.; three bronze handle attachments; and a later bronze bowl with everted rim, 6 in. (15.2 cm.) diam. (14)
