A HELLENISTIC GOLD AND GARNET LAMB OR KID-HEADED EARRING CIRCA 2ND CENTURY B.C. The twisted wire hoop threaded with a garnet bead and four granulated collar beads, terminating in the animal head with small ribbed horns, circa 2nd Century B.C., ¾ in. (1.8 cm.) long; a Roman gold earring, the ear loop with oval box-setting pendant with openwork border of conjoined lotus flowers, inset with an oval clear glass inlay, 3rd Century A.D., 7/8 in. (2.2 cm.) high; a Greek gold earring, the hollow conical pendant decorated with gold granules, with knobbed base, 1 7/8 in. (4.7 cm.) high; and a hollow gold leech-shaped earring with tapering ear hoop, the pendant decorated with granulated triangles, 1 1/8 in. (3 cm.) high, circa 5th Century B.C. (4)
