The first written history of St. Andrews Golf Club and, as Murdoch states, "a monumental effort of original research and one that is most readable, even today." The illustrations include some of the first in color of golf. Murdoch 237; D&M 16090; D&J E8890. Bookplate of T. Edward Ross from Philadelphia. Ross was a pioneer in the accounting realm. The company he co-founded continues today as Coopers & Lybrand. He also amassed a significant bible collection which he gifted to the University of Pennsylvania. He was an avid golfer in the 1930s and 40s, as the accounting firm sponsored numerous golf outings at top courses in Philly and New York.
