Kentucky style over-under double rifle percussion gun made by J. M. Watson of Altoona, Pennsylvania circa 1880. Browned rifled over-under barrels with top barrel marked "J.M. Watson Altoona, Pa." with silver blade front sight and rear dovetail notched sight with dual hardwood ramrods mounted along each side of barrels. Case hardened back action percussion locks with light scroll engraving with double set trigger control. Walnut checkered stock with German silver hardware including a nicely engraved floral cap box. CONDITION: Metal has turned a nice plum patina with some light surface corrosion. Action has faded to a silvery patina. Walnut stock has traces of finish with sharp checkering.
