THE FIRST SIGNED NOSHU JU ASANO KANEZANE SAKU, WITH SEKI ARSENAL MARK, ALL 20TH CENTURY
A JAPANESE OFFICER'S SWORD ( GUNTO ), A BRITISH INFANTRY OFFICER'S PATTERN 1897 SWORD, AND A NORTH AFRICAN SWORD THE FIRST SIGNED NOSHU JU ASANO KANEZANE SAKU, WITH SEKI ARSENAL MARK, ALL 20TH CENTURY The first with regulation blade with old Seki style gunome hamon and traditional takanoha file marks (blade discoloured, tip damaged), in regulation service mounts and scabbard, the grip and scabbard with brown leather field covering (some wear, damage to lacing); the second signed 'HAWKSWORTH SHEFFIELD', with etched blade, regulation nickel-plated guard with 'GR V' cypher, wire-bound leather-covered grip, brown leather sword-knot, and brown-leather-covered field scabbard with brown leather frog; the last with tooled red leather scabbard (scabbard shrunk on blade) The first with 25¾in.
