A LARGE AND EXTREMELY RARE POLYCHROME 'DRAGON' FISH JAR WANLI SIX-CHARACTER MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1573-1619) The deep, thickly potted sides well painted in inky underglaze blue with two spirited five-clawed striding dragons amidst yellow-enamelled sprigs of lingzhi fungus, the outside of the moulded rim decorated in green enamel with a ruyi -head border, all outlined in underglaze blue 19 1/4 in. (49 cm.) diam.
