A Large Chinese Embroidered Silk Kang Cover 19th century finely embroidered in gold and polychrome threads depicting a central vertical row of three forward-facing five-clawed dragons chasing flaming pearls, flanked by three pairs of crouching dragons in similar pursuits amongst ruyi clouds, all picked out on a beige ground above beribboned auspicious objects and mountain peaks rising from rushing waves, framed. Height approximately 7 x length 5 feet. Estimate $ 10,000-20,000 Not examined out of frame, no major tears or loose threads. Light wear to the edges, different threads were applied to the dragon figure to the lower left, possibly a restoration.
