Consisting of a Royal Scots Guard button, 2nd Dragoons, 1877, an 11th Light Dragoons button, dated 1793, a 3rd Carabiniers Prince of Wales Dragoon guard button, a 6th Royal 1st Warwickshire Foot Regiment button, a Duke of York's West Indian Regiment button, a 26th Cameronians Foot Regiment button, dated 1855, a 27th inniskillings Foot Regiment button, a 69th South Lincolnshire Foot Regiment button, dated 1769, a Rotherhithe Surrey 23rd Rifle Volunteers (formed 1st Feb. 1861) button, an 82nd Prince of Wales Volunteer Foot Regiment button, a King's Dragoon Guards button, dated 1855, a 90th Perthshire Volunteers light infantry button, dated 1767, a Royal Artillery button, late 18th - early 19th century button together with buttons from unidentified 2nd, 3rd, 8th, 11th, 55th, 75th regiment buttons as well as various other numbered buttons. (30 items) Provenance: This lot came from The Ronald Goode collection at the Pumphouse Educational Museum in Rotherhithe. The Museum housed a fascinating private collection of artifacts discovered on the Thames foreshore in Rotherhithe along with an interesting collection of Peak Freans biscuit factory items which once existed locally in the area. The later collection also included a magnificent six foot iced replica of Queen Elizabeth II's wedding cake with a letter of thanks from Elizabeth II which was on permanent exhibit at The Pumphouse Museum.
