A LARGE GEORGE III SILVER PRESENTATION SALVER, MARK OF PETER & ANNE BATEMAN, LONDON, 1792, Circular, with inner & outer bead borders, on 4 beaded, shell-embelished bracket feet, centre engraved with the arms of Vaughan with Ireland of Shropshire in pretence , the base inscribed "Presented by several tradesmen of Bristol to Richard Vaughan Esqr. as a mark of their gratitude for the address and attention he exerted in their behalf in procuring payment of their debts from a very embarrass'd estate, Bristol 7th. May 1792" , 21 in. diameter (53.4 cm.), 106 oz.
