A LOUIS XIV WALNUT AND EBONISED CENTRE TABLE LATE 17TH EARLY 18TH CENTURY The rectangular canted top with gilt-tooled brown leather-lined writing-surface above a frieze drawer with compartments, on ring-turned baluster legs joined by a H-shaped stretcher, on bun feet, the reverese of the drawer inscribed in black ink, 'le 1er Janvier 1909 j'ai donnais à ma fille Sophie Gonet la presente table Louis Gonet', and in pencil '96', the frieze drawer probably added in the 19th century 29 in. (74 cm.) high; 28 in. (71 cm.) wide; 19¼ in. (49 cm.) deep
