In honor of the 125 anniversary of the Smeets Publishing company, this book was published "first and foremost [as] a guide and aid to those who, in some way or another have to do with printing" (p. 2). It is a sample book, to show the world what a vast and wonderful array of things Smeets was capable of printing. Lavishly illustrated in full color, samples can be found of cigar labels, counter-cards, cut-outs, photographs, fold-outs, product labels and more. The book is most famous for this image of Cassandre's, which was included in this spiral bound book and never appeared anywhere else. The image itself is dated 1951.
